ELECT JENNIFER ROGERS
Meet Jennifer Rogers
Best choice for Yosemite Unified School Board Trustee Area4

-
I have been married for 30 years to my amazing husband, Keith Horton. We are the proud parents of four incredible children, and three precious granddaughters.
-
I have vacationed at Bass Lake all my life and moved here 18 years ago fulfilling my life’s dream. I knew there was no better place to raise my children. They had the exceptional experience of attending Bass Lake Elementary School, Oak Creek Intermediate and graduating from Yosemite High School.
-
I have an AA degree in Administration of Justice, worked as a volunteer police officer, an EMT and as a Correctional Officer for the Department of Corrections where I was also an FBI trained hostage negotiator for the SWAT team.
-
My passion has always been to make a difference in the lives of youth. At the age of 21, I managed and was the house parent for a group home of at-risk teens. I have assisted throughout the years in my children’s classrooms, and volunteered as a juvenile probation officer, a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), as a crisis-counselor for a youth hotline, and am currently serving as commissioner on the Madera County Juvenile Justice Commission.
-
I am open-minded and collaborate well with those from all backgrounds and beliefs. I am a great listener and will strive to keep learning, growing and developing myself always, in every experience and in every situation.
-
I believe that EACH and EVERY child deserves the highest quality public education, and I believe that teachers deserve the support to deliver it.
-
I believe that partisan politics have no place in our public education or on the school board. I will serve and fight for ALL children, their families, the teachers and staff in accordance with our mission statement, policies and the laws of our state.
-
I believe in clear and honest communication, respecting the views of others, and in finding compromise. We are all more alike than we are different.
It would be an honor and privilege to serve this community, our teachers and staff, and especially our children as a Trustee on the Yosemite Unified School District Board.
I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR VOTE!
